Another day, another pair of ankle boots! I think these are fabulous – black dots on white (reminiscent of animal print), blue toe caps and heels with a subtle hint of sparkle, an unexpected bright stripe of orange … What’s not to like?!

Yet they don’t get as much wear as they should. I need to put that right. They’re fairly comfortable, the heels aren’t vertiginous so they’re not impractical, I should just wear them more. They deserve it! Do you agree? Or do you think they should be confined to the back of my shoe cupboard??
