Not many pairs/days to go before Christmas now! This pair of boots very much has a ‘don’t mess with me’ quality about them! I bought them in Covent Garden on a shopping trip with my lovely niece, quite a few years ago now.

One of their memorable outings was to a ‘local’ Chinese takeaway on Halloween. It turned out to be about a mile away. My feet were not happy! Since then, they’ve definitely been in the ‘car to bar’ category. Today is my fiancé’s birthday and we went for lunch at Provenance (by car), so I thought I’d give them a whirl. I paired them with a flowery dress with a Peter Pan collar (not quite as saccharine as it sounds) to soften the effect. After all, it was lunchtime in a family restaurant, rather than cocktail hour in a dark and decadent bar!
