Today’s shoes were a dilemma. Looking back over my shoe posts so far this year, black has featured quite heavily. So I wanted to inject some more colour to the series. On the other hand, the demands of my day don’t really accommodate strappy party shoes or high heeled boots. A shopping trip to Waitrose on the last Sunday before Christmas is challenging enough in itself, without trying to teeter along the aisles wearing highly unsuitable footwear.

So I’ve plumped for this Kurt Geiger pair. They are a cheering rediscovery as I haven’t worn them for ages. They’re black and grey, so they don’t add much in the way of colour, but the animal print brings a certain amount of pizazz, I feel and the tassels on the front are perky. After yesterday’s unforgiving heels, my feet are grateful for the low block heels too!
