A trusty pair of slouchy suede knee-high boots today. I’ve had these for years now – they were a spontaneous buy one winter in Kurt Geiger’s flagship Covent Garden store and I have loved wearing them. Today I had an appointment in town so I hauled on some skinny jeans (not sure I’ll be able to wear these after eating my festive mince pie mountain!) and slipped on these faves.
It’s only day 2 but I’m already finding that pushing myself out of my comfort zone (literally!) of footwear is making me feel more creative and stretched, as well as being fun. The clothes (and shoes!) we wear may feel insignificant, but I do think there is something in how we choose to portray ourselves when we get dressed each day, the image we put on, if you like, that reflects how we feel, or how we want to feel, as while as how we look, to our selves and others.
